Our CSR approach: reconciling the ephemeral and the sustainable

  1. Philosophy and methodology

As part of our approach guided by the ISO 20121 standard, we advise and support our clients in building ESG1 considerations into their events from the very first stages of design, combining profitability with sustainability.

To provide a rigorous, well-equipped framework for rolling out an impactful operational policy, we rely on the three pillars of our sustainable development policy:

  • Supporting the transformation of our industry through community engagement, content management and responsible purchasing;
  • Promoting the well-being of our employees, collaboration and inclusion;
  • Limiting our environmental impact.

Our agency is also aligned with the GL events Group’s ESG strategy, set out in our new CSRD-compliant sustainability report (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), ensuring overall consistency and transparency for our clients.

2. Putting it into practice

To make our events more inclusive, we make a point of identifying specific needs at registration and ensuring these attendees are properly welcomed. Examples of measures we have implemented and aim to roll out more widely include: a quiet room, reserved seating in plenary sessions and agoras, a dedicated priority welcome desk, and accessible content and signage.

To reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the services we control and act on are:

  • Waste management: an additional service for our exhibitors (partnering with RE’UP for reuse), on-site waste sorting, and recycling of wood, glass, cardboard and carpet;
  • Circular economy in our spaces: rental of furniture and partitions, LED lighting throughout, reduced printing, widespread use of QR codes, and collection and recycling of badges and lanyards;
  • Responsible mobility: encouraging car-sharing (via a dedicated platform on Coevent), public transport and low-impact travel options (integration of the ADEME calculator);
  • Sustainable catering: reusable tableware, organic waste management, efforts to reduce food waste (target of less than 2% achieved in 2024), local sourcing, and encouraging plant-based options.

CSR is a process of continuous improvement.

We regularly assess our practices, involve our partners and gather their feedback in order to strengthen our actions and meet the industry’s expectations in terms of sustainability, ethics and responsibility.
